These are beautiful Evan, and happy birthday.

I see you and I love you and I’m thankful to witness your art even from across the country. Thanks for sharing these.

my favorites, actually laughed out loud <3

"I pretend to have a sudden interest in the layout of this apartment complex. Spanish-style architecture in the Greater Los Angeles area? Fascinating. Oh, wow, is this grass? Very cool."

"delicately clutching a lobster roll"

"I’m pretending I’ve fainted to see how long it takes my neighbor friends to check in on me."

Thanks for sharing this piece. I like the composition structure you chose for a literary effect. I also enjoyed some metaphors to express your internal experiences. I find metaphors one of the most effective rhetorical devices when sharing your interpretive frame. If you haven't read the works of Yukio Mishima, please read them. You'll find the most amazing metaphors that almost blow your mind: His metaphors force open many hidden doors in your mind. Once you encounter those metaphors, you cannot see the world, or a phenomenon, the same way, ever, and once those little doors open, you cannot close them, ever!
